Purpose and History

Mission Statement
The purpose of the Society for Comparative Endocrinology is to promote the scientific understanding of endocrine physiology and pathophysiology in order to facilitate diagnosis, treatment and prevention of endocrine diseases, and thereby improve the quality of life of animals and people.

 

History
The Society for Comparative Endocrinology was founded in 1987. The first officers (1987-1990) of the Society were Mark E. Peterson (President), Rod Rosychuk (Vice President), and Robert Kemppainen (Secretary/Treasurer).
